Hello! Welcome and thank you for stopping by…
My name is Kristel Schultz.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with specializations in Mathematics and Reading from Iowa State University. I’ve been teaching middle school math for three years. Currently, I’m pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Creighton University.
I’m a fan of all things creative in the classroom. I’m a believer in using games and activities to practice and master skills. I’m an advocate for interactive student notebooks, which I utilize in all the classes I teach (Math 6, Math 7, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra).
In this blog, I will share successes (and struggles), stories, and suggestions. I will also be blogging for graduate school.
I live in Iowa, which leaves me breathless on beautiful summer nights and brutally cold winter mornings… I’m the baby of four girls and have the most loving parents. My husband and I got married in November 2014.
We added a family member to the mix in July 2015… Miss Maci (labradoodle puppy) steals my heart and destroys my clothes. Six nieces and three nephews share my heart as well. I also coach high school volleyball at my alma mater and enjoy all things active to compensate for my love of baking and chocolate.
